There's a mono account server now which doesn't have the sidekicks or the ability to use more than one character, so you have to play with other people.
Likely still hard to find groups at lower levels, but much easier than it used to be because of this.
The game is slowly improving, but it's after years of them fucking up the game with retarded changes so it's a little bittersweet.
