I just checked if the English 'meal' (as in feast) comes from 'meal' (as in flour). It doesn't.
The first 'meal' comes from an old Germanic word that describes an appointed time - the second 'meal' comes from an old Germanic word for grinding.
And one doesn't seem to originate in the other. Their respective reconstructed roots in Proto-Indo-European apparently are meh₁- and melh₂-
Both senses of 'meal' also sound very similiar in modern German (Mahl; Mehl)
