I don't disagree with you in principle, but I feel we don't have the luxury of being being neutral. Our land and resources are too valuable. We'd need to be stronger, economically and militarially. We'd need competent leadership with a greater nation building plan that thinks years ahead, like potencies have, instead of the patchwork politicians that we have, and a politically educated population that's capable of thinking beyond of right-left politics. We'd need, dare I say, *the bomb*. As it stands, either we pick a side, or somebody else will pick it for us. And there's no greater future ahead of us under American hegemony.
