The problem is that some players will legitimately complain about fucking anything, so the best you can do is design a deck you feel would be fun for you to play against and tell others to suck it up if you feel you've compromised enough.
I had someone tell me that, no joke, Renari is too oppressive as a commander. At that point I had to set a cutoff where I'm not going to acquiesce to someone that isn't going to put the bare minimum into engaging with the game.
