Still trying to figure out this insect deck... These are all the insects I could find worth using in my bulk. Most of my cards are Duskmourn, Aetherdrift, Final Fantasy, Dragonstorm, and Foundations because I started playing last year.

Any ideas of what else I can add to this deck to pad it out? Anything I should rip out because it'd be useless?

Either this or Xu-ifit. But I'm not sure I like either. I think the most fun way to assemble Legolas would be to run him in an enchantress shell. Drop cantripping one-mana enchantments on opponents' creatures while plinking others out of existence. Unfortunately I don't own the cards for that and I'm not sure I can be bothered to acquire them, even if they're relatively cheap. So instead he's a big pile of fight slop.

Why is it important anymore for a commander to be Legendary? If for some reason the "lore" of commander requires that the commander is a PERSONAL representation of the deck, and the actual person that is fighting, then there should at least be a rule that the cards in the deck have to be justified for the character. Gerrad Capashen decks can't use any white Phyrexian cards: they're natural enemies.

You got greater good, but not a lot of big creatures for it? Garruk, Primal Hunter and Harmonize can get the job done. Mirri's guile is another Sylvan/Top. Regal Force is one of my favorite draw cards. For my Azusa deck I have tons of janky draw since it's 50 lands, so I really on spitting out a ton of land so my draws are always being filtered and increasing my chances for non-land cards. I play Mind's Eye and Horn of Greed for God's sake.

The Greater Good is unsleeved. That's in the maybe board at the bottom for the exact reason you listed. Garruk, Primal Hunter is alright though it's a question of how desperate I am for Rishkar's 2. Regal Force is alright, though in this deck a big ask since the creatures are disjointed and not really the core gameplan.

Yeah. I'm looking through all my old white cards and I'm finding a lot of interesting cards that make me want to build a mono-white deck to use them. Everyone says mono-white is the weakest, so I want to put in a bunch of bullshit white cards, or cards you wouldn't expect white to have, like Seht's Tiger, or Stonecloaker.

I know zoomies love it, but Magic's playerbase is avg age 37 years old and I feel like most lennials were too old to give a shit about some generic hack and slash by the time the franchise gained steam. It'd sell better than Asscreed for sure but I doubt it would generic the same waves LOTR/FF did. Most post 2001 game franchises just won't have that mega appeal.

FF newfag from last thread that got some cards from earlier sets from a buddy and am working on improving my deck.
I'm really debating on a handful of cards and was hoping to get a second opinion before I buy some of the more expensive things on my considering list.

Put in more lands that tap for multiple colors, the search for basics is nice yes but having the options of your colors in 1 gives you less of a chance to get stuck in 1 spell mode when you coulda done 2.

Well I run monowhite equipment, so my options are limited. I also don't like running X & Y Swords because they're expensive.

That said, if I could only run 5 equipment for my commander (pic related) it would be the following:
#1: Colossus Hammer - Gives me lethal
#2: Brotherhood Regalia - Gives me unblockable and some protection
#3: Lightning Greaves - Gives me haste and more protection
#4: Genji Glove - Gives me another swing I sorely need
#5: Batterskull - Keeping my commander from turning sideways gives me at least one blocker for "the really big thing" I might be missing on board; Lifelink puts me forward killing other players or their creatures, so I can face-tank for a turn cycle.

These of course are only my choices if I literally can't pick any others. There are a few other toys that are great for their specific scenarios and I have substantial redundancy (especially on haste sources).

Roiling Regrowth lets you sac a tapped land for its cost, and as an instant you can do this at the end of your opponents turn to have 2 basics come into play untapped. It also fills up your graveyard with lands, which green now has a myriad of ways to exploit. Back from the 2headed giant event, it was fun.
Some people were playing with much stronger decks than I expected.
First pair were lovely, one of them was playing almost the exact same deck as me to the point where our first turn was the exact same land and creature play. Lost on turn 5 to mothman commander damage though.
Second pair were opposite ends of the autism spectrum to each other and were really nice to play with/against. Game was a bit closer
The last pair I played against legitimately seemed like awful people and I would not want to be in a room alone with either of them. One was arguing that Disruptor Flute's ability was permanent, even if it left the battlefield.
He then argued that Splinter Twin's tap ability activates if he attacks with his commander because that's tapping it.
It was like he lacked fundamental knowledge of the game.
Didn't win the half a EoE box but i got a promo pack and had fun

Yeah, I get it. Crucible needed a little extra sauce though. I say this as a guy who runs a dedicated lands deck. Crucible starts to feel like a combo card. As a value piece it just feels like it needs a little extra. Exploration is best early game, so being a 4 drop is less impactful. I get that you can mill and play things, and that is strong, it just doesn't feel CRAZY. It feels like a logical power progression for that strategy.

There are some good ideas here but you need protection for jenova so you don't get blow out during combat. Look into more sac outlets too, particularly creatures like woe strider or that new eoe uncommon.
Also there are a lot of budget dual lands these days like snarls and such.

One thing I considered was energy Jenova. But I've only got Primal Prayers and Cthonic Nightmare and none of the energy generating creatures. It feels like there's a cool payoff but it kind of sucks without PP and/or Nightmare on the board. Plus their powers are all generally kind of small, too.
