Mr ETA, our not!Baro, normally brings us a slot the weekend after a new character releases. So we'll likely see a new one the weekend the psycho power lady comes out, the 9th. You'll need some supply tickets to get it, which you can get by trading blueprints and bits from descendants and guns you are not losing - so you're just in time to start saving.
I cannot recall if we get new slots when ultimate versions of descendants release.
We also get either or both of equipment and storage slots most weeks from ETA, too. And at endgame, you can grind a particular zone to get 1/10th of an equipment slot twice a day.
In that regard, it's sort of better than warframe, easier to get F2P but overpriced if you actually buy it. !formas and !activators are similarly easier to get but way more dear than in WF, too.
