I dunno about that.
I think cutting edge would be something like EAfront (>>717539704), which also ran smoothly for the most part.
MGSV looked good for 2015, but it hasn't aged as well as something like EAfront or Dying Light, both of which arguably look just as good (or better in the case of EAfront) as modern games.
Though Africa looked like crap in MGSV, that much I do recall.
