Thanks tremor! Now that you pointed it out, I noticed it, never been a jojo fan, but you're right. I guess that different random artist's styles stick at your own with time
Yep those are exact quotes from the book, I get all cheerful when I see that a quote fits the panel layout without even planning it, lol
Somehow the reflection about the sadistic system got me to the flier full of exultants, and now I need to do a couple of pages with some important dialogue in the ship. I'll try to uncover "why Severian". What's important or interesting in him to be the one? The Autarch will reveal that to the nasty lady sat beside him

Thank you sketchybro, I would answer your question saying that writing is the first thing. It has to be anyways, simple ideas, mood, details. But once you try to put that into images, then "creation" goes through a total different process in your head. "There are things" you HAVE TO draw, and things you HAVE TO put on text. It all comes down to that, at the end. Writing the idea comes first imo. Then you will see how to draw what you like, no matter the "story" lol But you need to write down everything. Stuff goes away in your head and never comes back. Some simple idea of three words, could become an intense little tale, you never know
About the "output process" that's a whole different and personal thing. I devised a system, shitty, limited, but very fast nevertheless. People give me shit, but I don't care, I just know that by doing that I'll get it done, no matter what. I just have a "one fits all" sized canvas with the same layout, and I know I can only draw with a 3 pixel sized hard brush, and three layers of the same color with decreasing opacity one for shadow (20% black) and light (20% white), and a layer for total white or some particular color detail. And you go from there adding other stuff
