The only reason why nordicist sissies want to claim North Italy is because as a region, they are better than most of Northern Europe by every metric, GDP per capita, HDI, IQ, etc. and to top it off they have the history that Northern Europe lacks.

In reality Northern Italians are less NW European than Iberians even.
