Basically, the version of Rose is Rose we get in these threads are made by artist Don Wimmer, who took over the strip from the original creator Pat Brady in 2004. Brady's run had a lot of playful art and writing (pic related) in it that's kinda downgraded in NuRose (but not as bad as NuNancy or NuHeart) but Wimmer's run has now going on longer than Brady's original run.
