This why multiverses, and specifically "canon event" writing fucking sucks ass. Saying there's one bajillion different universes and the only thing that ever really matters in any of them is one mothercon and his obsession with lalah.

That doesn't expand the setting, it reduces it. It's literally chopping out parts and pushing them down and saying "none of that shit matters, it's literally just the bit that made me feel tingles in 1979 that matters". It's extremely obsessive and fanboy-minded.
