yesterday I got sent to the hospital after my xrays and apparently had been suffering from a pneumothorax

The doc made a cut under my armpit somewhere and shoved in some metal rots and a tube of some sort with a machine thats pumping out air

I'm getting released from this machine tommorow but the pain of the machine is still there and they wont give me any opioids due to me being 22 years old

Will I be able to do sports and such ever again or am I fucked for life? I've heard it can reopen itself and I don't want to go through this again its like hell on earth

So, if my ribcage is too big, it's just over?
