Not everyone who watches it will fully get all the depth it pulls off, but at the same time it's hardly pretentious at all and so a child or schoolgirl can be legitimately enthralled by the things it does that are great, which is part of what I admire about it. You are hardly automatically 'a genius' for liking it, but it's easily better than things that attract pseuds for dubious reasons and definitely deserves more respect than that kind of thing.

I have no qualms at all about admitting that I was partly motivated to continue watching it by some girls I knew from university who cosplayed as the characters.
