I think most Arabs you'll meet on the street hate Israel, but Syrians have dealt with a cartoonishly evil government backed by Iran that'd rope their family members and dangle them from helicopters. Oh it's time to fly home *drops excess munitions on Sunni village regardless of whether it's pro-/anti-regime*
I dunno about Iraq either (probably not the Kurds though) because you have these Iran-backed militias but they also massacred hundreds of people during demonstrations a few years ago, and assassinate / disappear people they don't like. It's not a strict Sunni-Shia thing, there are Shia ayatollahs in Iraq who don't like Khomeinism and see that as like a form of apostasy, and Moqtada Al Sadr (famous insurgent leader) also beefs with Iran. The communists also played a role in the demonstrations (and collabed with Sadr) as well which doesn't get mentioned much but Iraq has long had more communists than other Arab countries.
