So I’ve recently decided after a lot of consideration to switch from building my army for 40k to 30k. I have some 40k minis I’ve already painted but I’m not sure how acceptable they would be in casual games or some narrative events. So I wanted some feedback from the community, mainly towards casual games.

In case it helps, the fluff for my army is that they are a Blackshield Warband using their own scheme, mainly comprised of Dark Angels, and some individuals or squads from Iron Warriors and other Legions. Focused more on defending individual planets/travelers, fighting demons/monsters, raiding traitor forces when opportunities present themselves, and clashing with Loyalist forces on occasion.

A few things related to the fluff that I’m hoping will help: -They strongly dislike the Mechanicus and go out of their way to raid them whenever they get the chance. Could explain them having some unusual experimental/artifice armor and weapon patterns -They do not care about tech heresy and are constantly modifying their weapons beyond standard -In general, I have always thought of this Crux as their own personal heraldry rather than anything to do with the Crux Terminatus. They only have it because of their specific units/vet status. -The rest of my army should be mostly 30k kits
