Because she wanted to cause a scene, was grieving her mother, had beef with red hat brother and since she was actually a quadroon the idea of decorum didn't matter to her so much in that position. That's her entire character arc is she feels lost and between the two different worlds depicted in the movie and was lashing out. Out of all your greentext complaints that one is the most braindead.
