I enjoyed the world-building of the early series. It was simple but the whole thing with clans, families, countries and different political actors made the world feel alive. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if the series stayed focused on a diverse cast of characters instead all the akatsuki/uchiha wanks that ended up ruining to the ground. Like these guys from the Sound Village, they appeared one time and made the world feel bigger.
