Jokes aside, they had to make 65 Animaniacs episodes really fast, then 65 Pinky & the Brain episodes really fast, by which time it was too late for Tiny Toons to get picked up again.

That and there’s very little continuity in TTA anyway. The premiere has the lore about how Acme Acres came into existence, but it’s never addressed again. Same with Citizen Kane being Montana Max’s backstory. They just made whatever they wanted so long as kids could enjoy it as a standalone adventure. (pic related)
