I hope they expand on this bit a little next episode.
They go over it in literally just a single panel, but Shizuka clearly did abduct her half-siblings but then didn't kill them. A good chance to show even a modicum of redemption before Takopi confronts her if they show why Shizuka gave up on her plan there.
