Not sure but I think there is interviews where her voice cracks out of sadness but she toughens up and saves it for home. Also yeah, anti-depressants and such benzos make you numb to feelings you become basically a robot-zombie I know because like half of America is on them. I see people on them all the time, they dont care about anything. It doesnt give you propouse it just numbs you to the pain, but the truth is: sometimes the pain must be faced head on. My guess is she stops taking her meds once she starts writing because Depression is surprisingly productive for writing lyrics but not playing instruments.

Anything that requires thought Depression is useful for, anything that requires physical movement it's trash to be depressed while doing it. You can play some mellow keyboard progressions tho, and some guitar chords and arpeggios but they wont sound super upbeat just calm stuff like:
