This is literally Sony's MO. God of War (2016), Spider Man 1, TLoU 1, and Ghost of Tsushima all had stories that weren't particularly woke or political and featured strong male protagonists. The sequels then either replace them with women, black people, or severely cuck out the male MC.

I will not be buying this game.
