My brother's new house doesn't have a light in the living room, it just has that "every outlet on this wall is switched" bullshit, so we're gunna rewire the room and put in a ceiling light.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't drop this crown molding like 2-3" and run 110v LED strips on top of it for 'recessed' lighting around the entire room?
