Just replayed both the original Doom 3 (pirated it) and the BFG version of it (purchased).
I dont understand the hate for the BFG edition.
Allegedly it is way too easy because ammo is everywhere and its too "bright". I played it without any graphical mods and it was still pretty dark. Once your flash light runs out you cant see shit in most areas.
Also, the ammo is plentiful in the original too, unless you are shooting randomly like a maniac or missing a lot.
All in all, pretty average doom game. Both older doom games and Doom 2016 are better than this piece of shit. Cheap mob placements and bugs like two maggots jumping at you one after another can literally pin you against the wall and theres nothing you can do about it early when you cant kill them fast enough. (veteran difficulty)
