if youre worried about copying too much just at least make the UI different, like for example UT futility (formerly reflection), where the UI work was so good it "didn't feel like UT anymore" (pic related)
if you just rearrange your battle screen and menus it should be enough to stop the superficial comparisons even if you keep the bullet gameplay
