So that >>63955215 is actually my Peruvian M1891, with its SIG-made spitzer barrel. Surprisingly that shoots only about 3-4" high at 100 yards using Argie surplus ammo.
My Argentine-used M1891 has a very worn muzzle and you can drop one of those spitzer Argie projectiles about 1/2" down the muzzle before the bearing surface catches some rifling. It doesn't shoot well, especially compared to my Argie 1891 carbine which got a new barrel at some point in its life. This is with PPU FMJ at 100 yards. The rifle isn't hitting as high as the carbine, but it's all over the place compared to the short boi.
