Bene for certain. Faction choice is down to 2 things, which side is wiping the floor on your server and which aesthetics you prefer.

Once you're in-game and out of the tutorial you will be able to press L to open the landsraad and see which side is winning the connect-5 mini-game.

Aesthetically obviously Atreides is kino and Hark-on-man-nuts is pretty ugly. You can switch sides once, after that no more switching.
