The only interaction you're going to have is people racing past you, maybe shooting/stabbing at you (incorrectly thinking you're an enemy), or maybe trying to mess with you.
If you're a streamer they might say something on local voice chat to you, otherwise it's going to be total silence.
Again, I 100% get what you're wanting, and there are games that naturally make players want to band together, but Dune Awakening isn't one of them

The standout parts of the game really are just that its in the Dune setting and stays relatively faithful to it. If you don't care about that at all, its just a slightly less generic survival game. The gameplay and combat are perfectly serviceable but nothing special. Might be worth it with friends, but if you don't care about Dune and jsut want to solo, the game probably isn't for you.

Want a part? Just make it. Why would you spend 2500 to fly to the capital city to purchase a part. And on the other side, money is easy to get, why bother doing the same to list/sell things? In theory the single use exotics could sell, except they're almost all 100% drop chances from set spots, its faster to farm it than go to the auction.
Finally, going to the capital puts you on the major server, which means leaving your sub server. Which means you now have to queue back to the sub server. If anything you want to avoid capitals like the plague unless you absolutely have to return.

where do ray amplifiers come from specifically other than "the hagga basin". i've swept through there twice and picked up two full buggy loads (1750v) of carbon and ethyrite, but only stumbled on 3 ray amplifiers that whole time.

I took screenshots before and after one such attempt. The treads lost 1%, but I didn't even land on the treads so I assume that was just normal wear from driving from the garage to the edge of the cliff.

Multiple heavy gunners with shields, snipers and melee all coming at you at the same time.
Even with full duraluminum heavy gear, shield and power pack from the same tier. And I still get downed in 2 seconds.
