Now Sword Impulse SpecII and GYAN actually do pink on pink, but these are both solid weapons with beam blades so you can still argue the axe is actually being blocked by the body of the sword and not the beam part.

It's not the part that hits the shield being reflected that's an issue as such, it's the blade as a whole retaining sufficient integrity to stop the mobile suit's hand rather than it just "breaking off" and going behind the shield. Blocking beam sabers along the blade always suffers from the "forbidden move" issue but as soon as you start treating them as not functionally fully solid entities it becomes even more weird.
