33% to 23% isn't really "nerfing the shit" out of something.
was it an unnecessary change? yeah
did it ruin the HMG? fuck no
the increase in mag size more than compensates for the less-than-a-dozen round increase in most breakpoints. only things like bile titans and factory striders took a big enough hit to feel the difference, but why are you shooting those with your HMG outside of needing to resort to using it as Plan C?

it went from taking 48 out of 75 rounds to kill to taking 69 out of 100 rounds to kill, so 64% of a mag to 69% of a mag. virtually the same performance. Webm related, I fired extra 6 shots after it was dead which puts it right at the 69 out of 100 needed. If it's taking you over a mag you're probably doing it wrong and spreading your shots out between both panels, or shooting from such a shallow angle you're getting bounces
