The 'Stroms are better road bikes, but much worse off-road. There should be no debate about this between the pot bellied engines, high CoG from the VTwins, and 19" front wheels. The new DE trims at least give them 21" fronts but they're upright touring bikes masquerading as more proper ADVs. Which is perfectly OK, and exactly why I'm buying a 1050 in the future.
