I had fun with the gameplay though. That is what video games are really about, first and foremost. Beating the shit out of enemies with a sword and board was straight up fun. It was clicky, flashy action that kept me playing. It had some fun armor designs, good animation, really high quality environments with basic linear exploration. There were parts of it that I enjoyed more than Baldur's Gate 3....It's an obvious modern product though that doesn't really hold up to snuff to competition. Massive mistakes that didn't have to be made ruined the game and there's way too much focus on the graphics/art style without any idea of how to present a compelling story

Yeah, I mean like I said I'm pretty racist and I can't stand race swapping and needless negroes. But when I saw these Elves of multi colors hanging out in the woods, I literally just see wood elves. Wood elves have always been shades of Brown/Yellow in my mind. So for me, I was able to place myself into the roleplay of being the highborn White man Elf of ancient heroes lineage. As the MC of this story all about the Elves and their gods and fuckin Solas himself, it just felt right for the story to play the savior White man elf. There are no other White man elves around except for "the bad guy" to take away my hero shine. Having "diversity elves" in the party is basically begging the player to do this. Remember in the last game, the elf girl was a straight up ugly (White) lesbian. This time, the elf girl is a cute Chinese woman with long black hair who walks around barefoot.
