Maybe I'm a pleb who can't properly engage with fiction but I found this the most crushing movie I've ever watched just because

>it's absolutely bleak torture porn
>it really happened
>on researching it the movie slightly WHITEWASHED it, what the little girl went through in real life was even worse, even more bafflingly callous in how long it took and how many people participated in or tolerated it

Somehow that's just a thousand times worse to me than "a laughing demon clown sawed a girl's scalp off and threw salt on her"
