Rusty and Co is probably one of the more obscure ones I’ve mentioned so far. It’s an D&D inspired comic about an adventuring party of a mimic, gelatinous cube, and a rust monster.
It’s got a plot line from the start despite being comedic. Each chapter is a new mission.
Started in 2009 and still ongoing. The art starts out stiff but definitely gets better . It’s quality is reasonable for the time period.
I haven’t read it in years and just remembered it and will have to catch up
