It's been going on longer than three weeks. I think it might have started in Brazil - at first the only thing that got restricted was AI slop.
Over time they started restricting more, and more, and more, and now it restricts it to everyone outside of japan.
I wonder if devs currently have to opt in to international public? Because the games that are getting restricted these days just don't have any content that makes it reasonable to restrict them in the first place.
Proxies work fine, though.
