I think devs really underestimate how repeability can makea game more enjoyable in the case of adventure ones specially, if scenes are an one time thing and you need to grind some levels or whatnot for a while, it feels stale, the characters stopped having sex... but just make a repeatable version of a scene for the inn you can pick anytime you rest and suddenly it feels more alive.
Everytime I'm playing a cliche adventuring with girl/s and I can't repeat scenes something makes me want to drop it.

As for finding the route, you'd often recognize bottlenecks where you knew you had to go past, so you could just focus on optimizing that part and make a couple of saves to compare which one has the most health left. Doing an easy 1 crystal clear first to see the whole stage helped a lot too, although you couldn't do that in the last stage.
The biggest pieces of shits were the stages where you had access to the whole stage right from the beginning, since it made it a hell of a lot harder to divide into smaller pieces to optimize. I probably wasted the most time in the 1st, 5th, and 7th stages.

Early strategies before you can buy anything are simple enough: you beat monsters to get powerups so you just find the order where you lose the least amount of life doing so. Eventually though every remaining choice costs tons of life for very little power rewards, like a wolf that costs 100-200 life that has a single green orb that maybe saves you 10-20 life, making the combat pointless. Even trying to hit power breakpoints to save health, it still seems some levels are impossible.

The version is 1.01, which might be earlier than yours since it still has the dogshit bug that resets the girl's affection to 0 in most H-scenes, which automatically locks you out of the second girl and her stages unless you notice it and just don't do the H-scenes without saving first.
The wolves are interesting in that while they take a fuckload of life to kill, they're also pretty hard to reduce to 0 life free kills, so pretty often it's actually more efficient to kill some of them first and reduce the life lost on the easier enemies if you have the health to do so. A single green orb is still significant in the long run where you need to stack stats up to deal with the later enemies. It's pretty pointless at the end where you just want to have the health to kill the boss though, yeah.
In the last puzzle in your pic it was actually more beneficial to buy bronze keys than stats (at least past the first purchase), since the stage was so lacking in keys otherwise. I thought I'd fucked my run up but managed to clutch it up at the end by switching up what doors I opened and actually used one key just to skip a mob while picking up the health on the left path of the second to last floor. I only really had the first part optimized while pretty much winging the last half.

I'm not even sure if using one of the top rank keys to access the later half of the stage was the right move, since I could've also pulled it off by just killing the mobs.
