I'm currently a public school special education teacher as well as local union president.
I'm taking this summer as my first summer off as an adult to just relax and enjoy the books I've been piling up for years. I'm just finishing Bukowski and I'm moving onto Pynchon.
In my youth I did what I assume we all do with Gravity's Rainbow-get hooked in by the captivating opening set-piece and then it decimates. I'm looking forward to trying it again. I've read the Crying of Lot 49 and I'm working my way through the rest of his material beforehand.
