i lived here and frankly i felt like an alien when i went downtown or to whiter areas like im not supposed to be there
the lived experience is completely different and it borders on satire the way you interact with someone and are constantly thinking "this person is comically out of touch and has never experienced a hardship"
i remember having a conversation with the owner of a dogshit card game store on the southside and him lamenting that his place was in a "poorer" (not overwhelmingly white) neighborhood and the clientele didnt have as much disposable income even though there was a constant supply of adult manbaby paypig customers and kids trying to get off the street afterschool by playing card games they bought there, actually reading comics, buying his overpriced snacks, listening to him ramble his proto-MGTOW diatribes or watching him trample over curious youngsters interested in the more niche stuff like tabletop mini painting or wargames by making it about him, always having to "win" even when "teaching" and explaining that he had moutains of knowledge of things you couldnt even scratch the surface of
some people are just so up their own ass
