The mental gymnastics of sniper players literally boils down to
>"uh yeah this class makes the game unfun for everyone else, removing him would just make the gameplay tighter and fairer for every other class, but since he exists you're just going to have to prioritize and plan around a speck 10000000000cm away who can one shot you (only other class that can do that reliably is the spy, which requires an insane amount of risk and danger) but its okay because... uuuhhhh you can switch to medic and build uber for a singular sniper nest... or uhhhh, pick sniper?? You also need complete coordination with the rest of your team and focus the objective. You also need to be omniscient and also invisible and somehow traverse the snipers sight lines or the sniper *earns* a free oneshot from total safety, as a medic, where IF you're holding an uber you'll be sparking and screaming "ya I have ein UBERCHARGE ready!". But its ok because picking one character should totally change the dynamics of this team based shooter to revolve around dealing with him... because thats fun? Or is it only fun for the sniper? Also to mention that a good sniper is indistinguishable from a sniper utilizing aim assist, further showing how selfish the sniper main is.
