It really is remarkable how fast people swallowed Beretta's marketing push after they lost the contract. Yeah, the 92 is a nice gun, but who the fuck would be issuing them new? I still remember when it was seen as the clunky, dated pistol that it is, but all of a sudden a bunch of witless retards come out of the woodwork just blindly prattling about the gun with an empty, borrowed nostalgia.
