Why has this been difficult for me for years? It may be the lamest first-world problem of all time. My mind will draw blanks and I'll freeze up, or I juggle a bunch of options and settle on nothing until the last second when I force myself to pick one. I'll have a decent birthday after that, but I never learn to prepare for next year. Everyone wants to help me have a nice day and I become the asshole leaving them hanging.
