Then you got Puritan descended, self righteous altruistic, statist ideological Republicans.

Theyre only allies because the Cavalier/Former Dem types lost their party with the Civil Rights era collapse and transformation of their party, and because their progressive foe is ppwertul and aggressive they have to cooperate.
