NTA but Gambit honestly has a really interesting power kit that writers only tap into on occasion. He can manipulate kinetic energy in inorganic material to the point of it being able to explode like with playing cards, timed remote detonations, and can control his explosion potency to the degree that he can silently fry a lock by touching it with his bare skin, while on the other side he once took down an airship with a well placed can of beans.
He can also just use it to improve an objects durability, speed, ect without it exploding.
At the higher end of his powers he can kineticly speed up cellular reproduction to help with injuries on himself and, depending on writer, others, making him one of the few potential characters that could actually work as a Strategist true from source material
Which means of course the developers are going to just have his abilities be like "fire cards in a cone" "pole vault with your staff for i-frames" and an ult of "throw cards but REALLY fast". Maybe the ability to set remote mines via cards if we're lucky
