I feel like we needed one scene of the Ulysses easily taking on some great challenge to make the whole jobbing to an advanced Atlantean bodyguard more impactful. What would that obstacle be? I dunno, fighting a giant squid? Might be silly, but that's a placeholder idea.

I think as is, we're just told how amazing it is and then never get to see it's capabilities. We just have to assume they're amazing because it's a really cool looking sub.
