I’d pay maaaaybe 50 bucks for that in the condition it was in. Yeah you got a little scammed.But like >>2044388 said as long as you went and got that tuneup you should be fine. I was you I’d focus on buying things that better the three Points of Contact on your rig:
pedals so you have better grip, good ones are available for around 20-40 USD
grips for the bars so your hands dont hurt, good ones are available for 30-50 USD
saddle, price may vary on this one but you still shouldn’t need to pay anything over 100
Get yourself a nice pair of bike shorts, a water bottle, and you should be good to go.
Oh and a bike fit, extremely important, just have a mechanic eyeball ya and see if you need the saddle lowered or moved or w/e
welcome to the hobby, enjoy staring at other bikers’ asses, dont spend a bunch until a year from now when you’re ready to buy something new. till then, ride this bike into the ground
