Moids are demons and hate this world.
Everything that reminds them of a world outside of their idealistic fantasy land in their heads irks them. Seeing the past being reminded of how they waste their lives instead of building anything significant also irks and depresses them.
In the words of one orthodox priest, "all, everything of what God has created annoys, disturbs and upsets the man because he is already in hell of his own mind." The mind of a man cannot perceive the difference of taste, form, smell; they cannot comprehend the varied beauty of forest, mountains, steppes, bogs and human cultures. It's all the same to them because they are stuck in solipsistic egocentric hell. A reminder that you can enjoy something outside of your own mind is an unbearable idea to a moids, because he just hates it all.
Also a reminder for you that it is not just about traveling. In a similar vein they hate colleges, universities whatnot. Anything knew they might learn unless it's fully utilitarian, is just useless and "propaganda" for them. Never does new knowledge inspire and spark up a man (unless he is diagnosed autistic in his special interest), it just makes him grumpy to imagine anything outside of what he already had made up in his head.

Fucking subhumans. If they could they would just put every single human on earth into a small white cubicle with nutritional goop wired to it and computer and say it's the perfect shape of happiness. I mean they already do this shit, just not on absolute scale but they try to push this lifestyle everywhere they can.
