Dunno what this guy is going on about, but if anyone is actually thinking of wearing kilts as a formal or semi-formal thing, make sure you actually get the right highlandwear jacket (PC, Argyll, or Day Jacket) rather than just wearing saxonwear jackets and calling it a day. The former is cut shorter to match the higher waistline of the kilt and to allow space for the buckle, whereas the latter will just cover it all and bang against the sporran. Looks real ratty when you wear the wrong top.
Or just wear a sweater and/or a shirt ig
