I've been in the world of modifications since I joined the realm of MMORPGs in the late 2000s. Modifications can be used for good and malicious purposes. It all depends on the author and user's intentions. I see Splatoon as an accessibility tool, but I know many users abuse that tool for cheating purposes.

Let me explain. I didn't destroy anyone's accounts. I was friends with the hackers and they were doing vigilante protesting. For what? I don't exactly know. Yet, the PR disaster from Nexon was successful, given a lot of the documentation and statements from 2010 and 2011 about the blackrobing event were scrubbed off the internet. Hell, my account termination (that was broadcasted on the Nexon Forums by Sabina) isn't even documented anymore. You have to go onto Reddit to find that.
