When you realize it happened overseas, you start to notice the narrative people were spreading just doesn't line up. When it comes to the toxicity of Undertale fans, that's mostly a Western phenomenon. But even if it was an Undertale fan that did it, it was happening in Taiwan completely isolated from all the western fandom drama.

I don't think "but the fact that you THOUGHT they did it shows how they must REALLY be that bad" should count as evidence that they are THAT bad.
I think a lot of Undertale fans back in 2015-2016 were really toxic on par with the FNAF, SU, Homestuck, Superwholock, etc fanbase and in some cases they were even WORSE because of their insane moralfaggotory. But if your narrative is "they are the worst, they tried to kill people" then actually post factual proof instead of hearsay. Some edgy teenagers claiming they would "kill proshippers" but being too scared to order fast food doesn't count, otherwise all of us would be put on a list too.
