While looking a bit closely, I realized medicine seller's main motif are moths, which symbolize death and rebirth.
First medicine seller had Egyptian hieroglyphs on the sword's box. While they look pretty generic, at least to a layman like me, it's possible they too reference death and afterlife.
Can't place the swords, though. First one is like some old devil guy, while the second like a crazy muppet.
