I only started playing recently (like in the past 2 months) so I have no idea how bad the grinds used to be, but they seem ok to me, at least compared to other games I've played. I have 14 out of the 33 or so legendary weapons collected (most are not fully enhanced though) and I have all the female descendants except for Sharen and Hailey.
